Filmed on location in the former Yugoslavia with a documentary style, this series contains all the narrative ingredients of the famous author of White Fang and The Call of the Wild: the frenzied gold rush, the snowy and inhospitable landscapes of many of his pages, and his visceral relationship with wolf dogs, protagonists of many stories.
