Del passato di Travis si sa molto poco. Ora, comunque, lui ha costruito un traghetto su un fiume che divide l'Arizona dal Messico. Quando una banda di fuorilegge vorrebbe utilizzare il traghetto per fuggire dagli Stati Uniti, Travis e gli abitanti del luogo si trasferiscono sull'altra sponda del fiume.
